Client Report

A branded, print-ready summary of one period for a site — for sending to a client or a manager. Open it from a site's reports (Client Reports), print it, or download it as a PDF on Growth and higher plans. See a sample.

What's in it

  • Headline numbers: clicks, impressions, CTR and average position, each compared with the previous period of the same length.
  • Same days last year: the same window 52 weeks earlier, so weekdays line up. If Search Console has no data for those days, or for this period, the report says so instead of showing a change.
  • Daily clicks & impressions for the period.
  • In plain English: a short paragraph written by rules from the numbers in the report. It says what changed and what happened at the same time — never why. It is left out when the period has no data.
  • Executive summary: your own words. The site owner writes it; members read it.
  • What we delivered: change log entries dated in the period.
  • SEO tests finished this period: tests whose measurement window ended in the period, with their verdict and summary.
  • Google updates in this period, from Google's Search Status Dashboard. An update in the same period as a traffic change does not show that it caused it.
  • Winning and declining pages, top queries and top landing pages.
  • Brand vs non-brand: the period's top search queries split into those that include your brand and those that don't, using your brand terms (site settings) or, if none are set, your domain name. Queries Google keeps private are not included.
  • Where your visitors came from: Google Analytics channels, when a GA4 property is linked.
  • Our next focus: the site's open actions.

Dates

The report ends on the last day Search Console has published (usually two or three days ago), not today. The 7d / 28d / 90d buttons end there too, so days Google hasn't published yet never look like a drop. Pick any other range with the date fields.

Branding

On Growth and higher plans, your agency name, logo, colour and contact details replace Metricstab's, and you can hide the "Powered by Metricstab" line (Account → Branding).
