Google Analytics 4 integration

Connect your Google Analytics 4 property to see which pages drive real sessions, conversions, and AI-referred traffic — right next to your Search Console performance, inside Metricstab.

What the integration does

Metricstab is an SEO analytics platform for website owners and agencies. When you choose to connect Google Analytics, Metricstab reads your GA4 reporting data and displays it back to you, inside your own dashboards and reports. You can see:

  • Sessions and users per landing page, alongside your Search Console clicks, impressions, and rankings.
  • Conversions per landing page, so you can connect your SEO work to real outcomes.
  • Traffic by source / medium — including referrals from AI engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini.

What data we access

We request a single, read-only Google OAuth scope:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly

  • It is read-only. Metricstab can read your GA4 reporting data; it can never create, edit, or delete anything in your Google Analytics account, and never changes your Analytics configuration.
  • We read aggregated reporting metrics and dimensions only — sessions, users, conversions, and traffic source/medium, broken down by landing page — for the GA4 properties you choose to connect.
  • We do not request the analytics.edit or analytics.manage.users scopes, because Metricstab only measures and reports.

How we use and protect your data

  • Your Google Analytics data is used only to generate the reports, insights, and dashboards visible inside your own Metricstab account.
  • We do not sell it, share it for marketing, or transfer it to third parties except the infrastructure subprocessors required to run the service (see our Subprocessors list).
  • We do not use it for advertising.
  • We do not use it to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
  • It is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest.

Limited Use compliance

Metricstab's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Connecting and disconnecting

  • Connect: from your Metricstab account, choose “Connect Google Analytics,” grant read-only access on Google's consent screen, and pick which GA4 property to link.
  • Disconnect: disconnect at any time from your Metricstab account settings, or revoke access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revocation stops data sync immediately.
