New Pages
New Pages lists the pages that appeared in Search Console for the first time inside the selected window — usually content you have just published, or old pages Google has only now started showing. It answers a simple question after a launch: is the new content being found, and for what?
What it measures
- Page — the URL Search Console reported.
- First seen — the earliest day the page had any impression in the Search Console history MetricsTab holds for your site.
- Clicks / Impressions / Avg. position — totals for the selected window.
- Top query (last 90 days) — the query that brought the page the most clicks in the latest 90-day snapshot, or — when it has none yet.
How we compute it
- For every page we find its first-seen date across all the history we hold.
- We keep pages whose first-seen date falls inside the window, sum their clicks and impressions there, and sort by impressions.
- The list is capped for very large sites (the cap grows with site size).
What to do with it
- A new page with impressions but no clicks: Google is showing it but searchers aren't choosing it — check the title and description against its top query.
- A page you published that is not here after 2–4 weeks: Google hasn't shown it yet — check it is indexed (Index Coverage) and linked from your existing pages.
- A top query you didn't expect: Google understood the page differently than you meant it.
Caveats & limits
- It needs history. "First seen" only means "new" if we hold your data from before the window. If the window starts less than 60 days after your stored data begins, the report says so instead of listing pages — otherwise every page would look new.
- A page can be older than its first-seen date if Google didn't show it in search before.
- URLs are as Search Console reports them; the same page under two addresses (for example with and without a trailing slash) appears twice.
