Traffic Forecast
A 30-day projection of your site's daily search clicks, with an expected range around it. It learns your weekly rhythm and your trend from history, then plots where traffic is heading — and flags when the latest day falls outside the expected band.
What it shows
- Forecast line — projected daily clicks for the next 30 days.
- Expected range — a 95% band around the forecast; normal days land inside it.
- Projected total — the sum of the next 30 days at a glance.
How it works
It's an additive model fit on up to 180 days of history: a weekly seasonal pattern (weekends usually differ from weekdays) plus a linear trend. The width of the expected range comes from how noisy your history has been. It's computed in pure Python on your own data — no third-party model, nothing leaves your account.
The "out of range" alert
When your most recent day's clicks fall below the expected band, the report shows a notice and we raise an Insight (also included in your email digest). It's an early warning for a ranking drop, a broken deploy, or a seasonality break — worth a look the same day.
Caveats
- Needs at least 14 days of history; accuracy improves with more.
- It can't see the future — algorithm updates, launches, or news spikes are unpredictable by design. The band is a guide, not a guarantee.
- It's a site-level forecast (all clicks combined), not per-page.
